Review of the movie "The Human Resources Manager" by Eran Riklis

Thanks to Prof. Fernanda Coin in December 2010 I could preview the film "The Human Resources Manager" by Eran Riklis with Mark Ivan, Gila Almagor, Guri Alfi.
I was fascinated.
Daily life often makes us too focus only on ourselves inevitably forgetting those around us, who loves us. Others. And then you lose the road. Selfishness, misunderstandings, clashes, indifference invade us and we can not get out. the diversity of character, generational and cultural barriers become enormous. The dialogue is absent. Hence the break. Separations. Physical or even emotional. This is what happens in the family of Little Miss Sunshine (Pretend to be normal) film by Jonathan Dayton. It is the same also happens in the family and the characters of the Head of Human Resources (The Human Resources Manager), the latest film by Eran Riklis. Film that clearly reflect the different cultures of the authors but face a similar theme where a long journey is an incredible solution to everything. A journey that first set, inevitably, all the characters together in a single purpose, a new and uncertain path to share an adventure. A journey that symbolically is a neutral space and unknown. Just as such as along the road you move away from old hatreds, from everyday problems. It is here that we rediscover the others. The difference then no longer appear as insurmountable obstacles but as features such as specialty. And the distances are shortened. Almost s'annullano. You will feel incredibly similar but different, more united, more altruistic. You are crazy for those we are next in Little Miss Sunshine The journey begins with a different purpose but the sudden death of one of the characters upset the precarious balance and becomes the driving reason, of course, travel. In the logic of "he would have wanted it that way." But perhaps more subtle ulterior motive is to save the self-esteem of a child, save the family dall'incomunicabilità and separation. The film is about a difficult subject in a very light, funny, often comical. As the Director of Human Resources, however, is the death of a girl outside the EU to begin the journey repairer. Return the coffin in his home country, his family. This is the mission. But the real mission, the real journey is within oneself, is to save a teenager from his pain and loneliness, save two separate families. The story is told in a tender, with delicacy and elegance. At times very moving, sometimes very humorous. Never in bad taste. Never disrespectful. Strong sense of identification. You enter into the logic and Jewish traditions. The pain caused by the detachment and death is dealt with in a dignified and natural in both films. It is in the name of this pain that is outside the norms and actions are performed incredible. Wonderful. You rediscover the feelings, the warmth. It goes back to being special people. Beyond any event, difference, bias and resentment.
